The Skywire
Set high on forest hills above the sea and river valleys, You soar like a bird for over 3km, up to 150m above beautiful native forest.
Securely fastened in one of four racing car seats in the Skywire chair, your ride takes you both forwards and BACKWARDS for nearly ten minutes of thrilling adventure.
The first 800m freewheeling drop can reach 100kph yet many say the fast backwards run is the most unforgettable moment.

" Robert & Lesley from Kingsland Court Motel joined the gang from Happy Valley Adventures for a ride on the skywire. On the drive upto the skywire their guide told them all the local history and information on the native trees and plants that the local maori use for medicinal purposes. The skywire was exhilerating as you fly high above the valley below at approximately 100 km an hour and its approximately 1.6 km long, to top it off they then did it all again in reverse. Smiles all round and definitely recommend it.”

Guided Horse Treks
You can also explore Happy Valley on horseback with guided horse trek opportunities.
Happy Valley have a range of treks to suit your level of ability, and your guide will ensure that your horse is suitable for you to ride.
Your guide willn take you through meandering rivers and along mountain trails, with breathtaking mountain and sea views along the way.
