Kaiteriteri

Kaiteriteri is a seaside township approximately 13kms North West of Motueka . Its attracts thousands of tourists and holidaymakers each year. With perfect sunshine, blue skies and tranquil clear blue green waters and a golden sand beach make kaiteriteri a dream destination. 

The wonderful colour of the sands comes from the weathering of ancient granite rocks as released crystals of quartz and mica, which are washed down to the sea and finely ground into glittering gold particles of sand. 

The town has a motor camp, general store and restaurants where you can dine on fresh seafood and local produce.

There are a number of walks that offer views across the bay, that encourage you to go and explore more secluded coves around the coast.

The close proximity to the Abel Tasman National Park makes Kaiteriteri the ideal place to join a cruise or hire a sea kayak to explore the incredibly beautiful coastline or the Abel Tasman.

A number of tour operators conduct their business from this superb location, offering great flexibilty in planning Park visits.  For example you may kayak or tramp for one or two days, then rendezvous with a water taxi for your return.

For sheer beauty and serenity it is hard to imagine a more picture perfect place than Kaiteriteri.
