Over 60 events featuring over 100 performers will be here for the eight days and nights at the beginning of 2011.
2nd to 9th January 2011
As always, a showcase of international talent alongside New Zealand’s best, making their mark on the music scene right here in the heart of the Nelson and Tasman region. Summer in Nelson would not be complete without a visit to the Woollaston Jazz & Blues Festival.
The opening event is headlined by roots rock-reggae favourite dDub. Christchurch singer-songwriter Mark Vanilau is performing a one time show and then at Nelson School of Music the sultry vocals of Jennine Bailey with a tribute to American musician Eva Cassidy, there’s something for all.
As leading acts, also proudly premiering Australian jazzman James Morrison sharing the bill with return vocalist Emma Pask, a singer Morrison calls “the greatest gift to Australian jazz vocals in the last decade.” It’s a show I am personally looking forward to!
