Marchfest

MarchFest is Nelson’s unique craft beer and music festival.

WHEN:    26th March 2011, 12.00pm to 9.30pm
WHERE:  Founders Park, Nelson
Set in the beautiful, traffic-free environment of Founders Park. MarchFest is completely weatherproof – all activity areas have the potential to be sheltered from sun, wind or rain. Festival facilities are geared to an attendance of at least 2,000 festivalgoers.

The Nelson region is not only New Zealand’s sole hop growing area; it also has more craft breweries per head of the population than anywhere else in the country. MarchFest commissions brand new beers from local craft breweries – they all make their debut at MarchFest.

But MarchFest is not just about beer: You can also find a wide range of eclectic music, fine wines, kids and family activities and regional cuisine. You can even ride a bike to power the music stage! Already booked for 2011 are Wilson Dixon, The Eastern and Chimuka.

MarchFest is geared towards people of discerning taste – people who make informed choices about their food, drink, musical taste and want to attend a family-friendly event, which is safe, fun and a bit different to the run-of-the-mill festival.
